Brazil Tour Package 8 Nights and 9 Days

A three and a half hour sightseeing tour visiting the most outstanding sites! Departing from the Hotel to get to 9 de Julio Ave, the widest in the world, we pass the famous Colon Opera house, the Obelisk commemorating the first founding of the city in 1536, to get to Plaza de Mayo (May Square). The Plaza de Mayo is surrounded by a multitude of buildings including Government House, Metropolitan Cathedral with the Mausoleum of General San Martin, Argentina’s greatest national hero and the Cabildo, the Colonia Town Hall built in 1751. Then its on to La Boca, the typical Italian district, where the first Italian immigrants settled and Caminito street. The tour continues to Buenos Aires port area, past San Martín Square towards Palermo Chico residential district and Palermo Park with its jacaranda and palo borracho trees which flower in the spring and late summer. The ride continues to Recoleta, the elegant district, to visit Recoleta Cemetery where the famous are laid to rest (including Eva Peron). Return to the hotel along the stylish Alvear Ave. Afternoon is at your leisure.

A day at leisure.

You will be transferred to the airport and connect by air to Iguazu. On arrival you will commence a tour of the Argentine side of the falls walking along the paths that cross the jungle that lead to the falls. The lower path is a 1200m walk by the river to the foot of some of the cascades. After the walk and a short train ride to Puerto Canoas, you'll board a small motorboat to the footbridge over the mighty Devil's Throat Cataract. You then will be transfered across the Argentine-Brazilian border to your hotel on the Brazilian side.

This morning you'll visit the Brazilian side of the falls. Afternoon again is at your leisure.

Transfer to the airport and connect by air to Rio de Janeiro.

After a beautiful scenic drive along Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon beaches and Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, you'll arrive at the bottom of the Corcovado hill and embark on a comfortable train ride taking you up the mountain to where the statue of Christ, the Redeemer, overlooks Rio and its famous beaches. Sights for kilometers! After this, you'll teturn to Tijuca and then to the hotel. In the afternoon depart on a tour of the city and take the cable car to the summit of Sugar Loaf for more spectacular views of Rio de Janeiro and its beaches.
